Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) serves as the premier institution in Kerala, fostering the agriculture and allied sectors in the state through technical and technological expertise. The College of Agriculture (CoA), Vellayani, established in May 1955, is the leading centre for undergraduate and postgraduate agricultural education in Kerala. Nestled within the grandeur of history, the present-day college finds its abode within the majestic edifice of the "Lalindloch" Palace, a cherished possession of the Royal Family of erstwhile Travancore-Cochin State. Surrounded by the idyllic charm of the Vellayani lake, a picturesque fresh water body, the college occupies 250 hectares of campus with a serenity and inspiration, befitting a cradle of knowledge.
